Moving Around Aleosan

Aleosanons dress codes are normally very casual. Light clothing is most comfortable. Lightweight clothing of natural fiber is recommended. Informal clothing is acceptable almost everywhere except when visiting a church or mosque. For formal occasions, the traditional barong tagalog is recommended. Most establishments such as offices, restaurants don’t impose dress codes strictly and consider wearing shorts, slippers, and sleeveless shirts.

Aleosan Municipality is generally peaceful. Police officers are roving around the municipality every now and then. The Municipal Government provided them with new light vehicles to completely monitor the peace & order situation. Barangay Tanods support the police officers in maintaining peace & order and immediately respond to any emergencies. The Municipal Government also designates civil security guards in public places like parks & plaza, trade centers and in the night markets to ensure the safety of the bystanders, local and international tourists, night owls and crawlers.

There is an existing No-Smoking Ordinance in the Municipality. Smoking is prohibited inside public utility vehicles, government offices, hospitals, and churches. In hotels and restaurants, smoking is allowed only in designated areas where the only activity being done is smoking.

Most government offices operate Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m to 12 and 1:00 to 5:00 pm except for frontline service agencies that need to operate 24 hours a day. Most banks open from 9 a.m. to 3 pm and some local banks have branches that operate 7 days a week. ATM booths are visible in conspicous places, bank lobbies and Food Center.

Night market starts at 6:00pm til 2:00am, it is located at the heart of the municipality. Barbecues, balot, quik-quik and other local delicacies will surely fill your hunger.
